EB-5 Visas are available to immigrants and those that invest one million USD or more, within the United States. In order to qualify investment must be in a new commercial enterprise that will benefit the U.S. economy and create at least 10 full-time jobs.
How many are available?
Annually, USCIS allots 10,000 EB-5 immigrant visas to qualified seeking permanent resident status on the basis of their engagement in a new commercial enterprise.
EB-5 Capital Investment Structures
EB-5 investors may be eligible for an EB-5 immigrant visa if they have invested - or are actively in the process of investing - the required amount of capital into on of the following for-profit business-types:
1. Creating a new commercial enterprise
2. Investing in an enterprise which will expand to 140% of pre-investment new worth
3. Investing in a troubled business
4. Investing in a pilot program involving a designated regional center
